Mr. Kurt Nielsen

GRADE 3-5 TEACHER, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR​

​Kurt Nielsen was born in Edina, MN. to Mr. Ken and Jackie Nielsen.  He is the third of four children.  He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran in Burnsville, MN for all of his grade school years.  After the 8th grade, he attended Luther Preparatory school in Watertown, WI.  Kurt did not know what he wanted to do after senior year, but after some encouragement from classmates he attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN.  Kurt enrolled and went on to the five year STEP program, where he majored in physical education.  Later that summer after graduating he received his first call to Bangor, WI.  He married Hannah (Mathwig) and they have three children. When he is not working on things for school, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, playing other sports and reading.
